Data controller and contact

ATHININ SERVICES LLC is responsible for processing the data described in this policy. Send questions and requests for access, correction, export or deletion to Contact@athinin.com or use the contact form. We may request proportionate information to confirm your identity before responding.

Accounts, links and support

We store your email, password hash, account dates and uploaded profile image. We also store destinations, names and settings for links and Bio pages. We do not store account or link passwords in plain text. Support messages include the email and information submitted through the form. We use these records to provide the service, protect access and handle requests.

Destinations and Bio pages can be shared. Do not include sensitive personal data, credentials or confidential information in public URLs, descriptions or images.

Counters and security

We count public page views in aggregate by page and day, without storing an IP address, account identifier or URL query in that counter. For link visits, we record the date, bot classification, device category, browser and generalized referral source. Country and city are used only when supplied by infrastructure configured as trusted. New metric records do not store full IP addresses.

To limit abuse, we use temporary counters with a cryptographic representation of the IP address and, when signed in, the account. Hosting infrastructure may retain technical logs needed for security and operation under its own retention settings. Automatic bot classification has limitations.

Cookies and optional metrics

Necessary cookies maintain sign-in, form security, your preferences and temporary access to password-protected links. They are used to operate the service. You can reject optional metrics and continue using the shortener.

First-party measurement uses a random visitor identifier valid for up to 90 days and groups activity into sessions with gaps of less than 30 minutes. This estimates visitors and sessions that created links without identifying a name or email. You can disable it in the preferences below; we respect saved rejections and browser DNT/GPC signals. Google Analytics 4, when configured, loads only after explicit acceptance. We do not send Analytics emails, passwords, recovery codes or link destination URLs. When optional measurement is enabled, you can reopen preferences in the footer. If you reject it after accepting, we stop optional collection and remove the related first-party cookies. Withdrawal does not undo data already processed.

Advertising

The site is prepared to display Google AdSense advertising in editorial content. Activation depends on configuration and Google's conditions. Ads are not inserted into redirects, password forms, Bio pages or the dashboard. When activated, advertising uses a consent platform compatible with Google's requirements; your choices are presented separately from optional metrics.

Providers and optional features

We use hosting, database and storage infrastructure to operate the platform. Access emails use Resend when configured. AI name suggestions, when enabled, send only the destination domain to OpenAI; they do not send paths, URL parameters or your identity. An automatic alternative is available when AI is unavailable. These providers may process data outside your country.

Retention and deletion

Account and link data remain for as long as needed to provide the service or meet applicable obligations. The trash allows links to be restored and preserves their history; it is not equivalent to deleting personal data. Request permanent deletion using the contact above.

Optional session identifiers are removed after 90 days by the maintenance process. Access tokens expire after one hour; maintenance removes old expired tokens and temporary counters. Aggregate counters may be preserved for historical comparison. Support requests are retained for as long as needed for resolution and documentation of applicable obligations.
